Kevin D. Hoover Photography
I know you guys haven't heard from Us in a very long time, we are sorry for that and have an update post planned for later this week along with a couple exciting announcements.
However, right now I'm not here to talk about Us - Instead, I want to show some support for a good friend of ours and New York City's Premier Photographer "Kevin D. Hoover".
Kevin's work is not only amazing but cutting edge, he has a flair about his work seen by few. He is inspired by many photographers such as Ansel Adams, Richard Avedon, Francesco Scavullo, Horst and George Hurrell. I've been watching Kevins work for a while now and can say that his pictures are not only spectacular but each one is better than the last with his expert lighting, camera angles, and poses. He specializes in fitness photography and cityscapes and excels in both, but enough of me babbling on about him you can check out a small sample of his work below or better yet click this link Kevin D. Good Advice

Hey... I have a question and I was wondering if you can tell me what you think. I've had a few blog posting comments sent to me from some people, and I've read a few on my own and I'm noticing more and more how people are ripping me apart on these blogs and forums. I'm getting some good feedback, but other times I'm seeing people being complete dicks and criticizing me for everything. Is this normal? Has the same thing happened to you in the past? I'm trying not to take it personally, but I can't help but wonder if this is reflective of something I am doing (or not doing) in the scenes I have done. What do you think?

I'm afraid to say it's very normal, unfortunately. Blame it on the anonymity of the internet, whatever. It's the double-edged sword from being in the industry. Fans will put you on a pedestal and treat you like a god, others will make snarky disgusting comments that they would never do to someone, face to face. You have to take all comments, the good and the bad, with a grain of salt. Don't waste too much time listening to any of it. Say thank you for the good comments, ignore the insults. There's nothing worse that you can do (for your porn career), but to answer back on some piss-ant fucker who writes bile, just to see their words in print. You can never win an online war... so the best thing to do is just ignore them. Otherwise they know they've gotten to you, and it helps promote and elevate them, and their useless and hate filled vitriol even more.
It happened to me a great deal, when I first began.... Not as much anymore. Once people notice you have a thick skin, they seem to give up. This has absolutely nothing to do with you, or what you are doing. Let me make that clear. It's really just... sour grapes. Don't write about or reply to comments. Don't bring anymore attention to them. It's their 15 minutes, and it's sadly all they have. Listen to your friends, they know you more than anybody.... and they'll probably say, that you're doing a great job, and are nothing short of fabulous. :)

He has a good job. He is athletic and health oriented. He is the boy next door. He live right outside of one of the largest and gayest cities in the world or a small island like mine. He has awesome family and friends.
Oh, and he happens to have HIV.
Because of the latter, all the other traits he can bring to the table seem not to matter when it comes to dating. He has tried HIV dating Web sites and social events but has been unsuccessful. Since his status does not define him and he is not limiting himself to just HIV+ guys and he is open to dating anyone who fits into what he is looking for in a man, when HIV isn't a death sentence anymore...
My question is how does such a man deal with HIV stigma and dating without giving up hope?

What Sets Us Apart From All The Rest!
You guys know I like to share comments from other websites. Here's a convo I had last night with a dude from Adam4Adam.
Them - Just wanted to say I LOVE you guys, didn't know you were florida local!
Us - wow, thanks man!
Them - You're both VERY attractive and seem like guys who'd be fun to go out for a bite or a drink with, maybe some day I'll get to bump into you guys and gush in person! By the way you have some fans on this website I go to called Bara! Hope you guys are doing great :).
Us - thanks man, we get out some. its funny you mentioned the blog bara, we've noticed some traffic coming for that site and was wondering who it belong too. never found out, but with the luv they give us we went a head and added a link for them off our blog
Them - That's awesome :). You guys seem sweet, I'm glad to see guys who aren't absorbed into their fame that they don't talk to their "fans" haha. It was good talking to you, looking forward to talking more in the future :).
